WIW for X-mas dinner

My crazy self at it again :) This is not a suit; I bought these separately in different years. Apparently I like what I like and mattress ticking is a favourite. I decided a month ago that I really had to wear them together at least once :)

The underpinnings are pure practicality. Leggings for warmth. These Puma sandals bought this week because feet problems. Plus though, the sandals are extremely comfortable for walking. Am thinking of scouring the web for another pair.

Please note my first covid home test in the lower right corner. I’m not entirely sure why the fam has not been testing before gathering the past three years…

you look great!!! amazing that it is not a suit, it works so well!

  • replied 3 years ago

Definitely works as a suit! Jealous that it's warm enough for sandals, even with tights!

Oooh, you have thrown me right back to candy-striper days, which is perfect for Christmas because you are like a delicious candy-cane! So much fun. And such a great pattern mix. Inspired as ever!

I feel like it’s been forever since we had a Rachylou WIW, and this was soooo worth the wait. Just the right amount of Xmas, and perfect pattern mixing. This is a master class in Angie’s stripe formula https://youlookfab.com/2022/11.....d-outfits/

  • rachylou replied 3 years ago

Lol, kkards! That has to be why I decided the skirt and jacket had to be worn together a month ago! My brain completely refuses to annotate and cross reference its files :)

I’m glad y’all enjoyed the outfit!

You look great Rachy! Love the stripes!
Did you wear the Oppo suit a different Christmas?
Covid testing good idea although I reneged on doing it for the 9 of us- I think at least 8 out of 9 there had already had Covid and some recently (November). We probably should have for the 91 year old and 86 year old because although they had it in July that’s a while ago… now 2 days later all seems well so far.

  • rachylou replied 3 years ago

The Oppo suit got a spin too! I worked Christmas eve in the bakeshop and wore it for the Xmas shoppers, hehe :D

  • rachylou replied 3 years ago

Fabulous! I too love a ticking stripe! How awesome that you found these two items--which were obviously meant to be together--in two different time periods!

KILLER FUN CANDY CANE RACHY :)

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

Like the matching pink hair too.

  • rachylou replied 3 years ago

Hehe, I want to be called Candy Cane Rachy from now on :)

Thanks Angie and y’alls for the appreciation!

  • Stagiaire Fash replied 3 years ago

Stinkin cute, reminiscent of your purple gingham outfit and Alice in Wonderland.

I’ve been mulling over a super-stripey outfit since that post too, think it’s the way to finally wear this crazy b/w dress, will try tossing the navy/white pullover over my shoulders, but might buy a cardi to seal the deal. Should the dress require tights, I think I’ll look for more horizontal stripes, in bright colors.

  • rachylou replied 3 years ago

The sweater and dress would be totally fab together. I like it!

  • MsMaven replied 3 years ago

Love this outfit! The fit is perfect for you. Like your hair too.

  • Sally replied 3 years ago

Really cute.  They look like they were made to go together.  I like the addition of the white shoes and tights too.  It looks very together but very unique and interesting.
